2006 Guy Butler began work as a photographer’s assistant, with his portfolio and demeanour catching the eye of established local photographers, whose trust he won, from then on assisting on large wedding shoots across Hampshire. After a couple of years he then began taking on his own client shoots.
With the style and flair he had started to establish, by then venturing into the commercial sector, he worked with companies interested by the dynamic look he was able to create for their businesses.
At this time in 2011 he was introduced to a specialist defence manufacturer based in the UK that engaged several commissions of his work and, over time, as word spread, Guy was soon taking on projects from Military and Defence manufacturers based all around the globe, especially those looking to his unique eye for detail that make the images he creates so vivid.
2015 Guy began working closely with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers under the employment of Babcock International in defining their media presence and visual communications identity.
Using all his skills acquired over the past decade, he has been creating high-end studio portraiture to furnish the REME Regimental Headquarters, assisting in building a comprehensive and varied archive of images from exercises and training, to events and sports engagements for 8 Training Battalion. He has also been assisting in creating cutting-edge training material for the The Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT).
Located within easy reach of Salisbury Plain, Guy Butler Photography is just a stone’s throw away.
