Anson Classic Restorations Commercial Photography of a CCM Flat Tracker

Some vehicles tell a story long before the engine is started.

When Anson Classic Restorations asked me to photograph this beautifully prepared CCM Flat Tracker, the aim wasn’t simply to create a series of attractive photographs. It was about capturing the craftsmanship, attention to detail and pride that goes into every project they undertake.

Anson Classic Restorations has built a reputation for meticulous restoration and preparation of classic and specialist vehicles, where quality is measured in the smallest details. That same attention to detail shaped my approach throughout the shoot.

Before lifting the camera, I spent time walking around the motorcycle, looking at how the light interacted with the metalwork, the exposed frame, the handcrafted finishes and the subtle design details that make the CCM Flat Tracker such an iconic British motorcycle. Rather than rushing into photographs, I wanted to understand what made this particular machine special and how best to communicate that through the images.

For me, automotive photography has never been about simply documenting a vehicle. It’s about revealing the craftsmanship behind it. Every angle, reflection and composition should help tell the story of the people who built, restored or cared for the machine. That’s especially true when working with specialist businesses like Anson Classic Restorations, where the quality of the workmanship deserves to be seen as much as the finished vehicle itself.

Throughout the shoot I used natural light and carefully considered compositions to highlight the textures, finishes and engineering that define the motorcycle. The objective wasn’t to over-style the images or distract from the subject, but to create photography that felt honest, refined and true to the quality of the restoration.

The finished image library was created to support Anson Classic Restorations across their website, social media and future marketing, providing a collection of professional photographs that showcase both the motorcycle and the standard of craftsmanship their business is known for.

Projects like this are one of the reasons I enjoy commercial photography so much. Every commission introduces me to people who are passionate about what they do, whether that’s restoring classic motorcycles, engineering specialist equipment or manufacturing products by hand. My role is to translate that passion into imagery that helps potential customers appreciate the quality of the work before they’ve even made contact.

I provide professional automotive photography for restoration companies, classic car specialists, motorcycle builders, engineering businesses and automotive brands throughout Leicestershire and across the UK. Whether you’re documenting a completed restoration, launching a new product or building a library of marketing content, I create commercial photography that reflects the skill, craftsmanship and personality behind every project.
